Tap the card, and your page opens.
An NFC card contains a thin chip and antenna behind a printed surface. When a phone is held near the card, it opens the link stored on the chip. No app, QR code, camera, or typing is required.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the customer need an app?
- No. NFC reading is built into modern smartphones. Customers hold their phone near the card, and a notification appears with your link.
- Which phones are compatible?
- iPhone XR and newer models read cards automatically when the screen is on, as do virtually all Android phones from recent years. Older iPhones (7 through XS) require opening the NFC reader from Control Center.
- Does the card need Wi-Fi, batteries, or charging?
- No. The card has no battery; it draws the small amount of power it needs from the phone. The customer's phone does need an internet connection to open the link, as with any web page.
- Can I change where the card points later?
- In most cases, yes, without a new card. If you control the destination link, simply update what it points to. If the card itself needs to be reprogrammed, please contact me.
- How are the cards mounted?
- The counter cards have an adhesive back. Remove the liner and press one onto a counter, table, window, or menu stand. No holder or stand is required, and cards can be removed cleanly if you need to relocate them. The NFC Business Card is the exception. It has no adhesive, because it is meant to be carried in your wallet and handed to people.
- How long do the cards last?
- The cards have no electronic components that wear out with use; they fail only from physical damage. If your card stops working, I will replace it.
- Can I add my logo?
- Yes, on the NFC Business Card, which is printed with your name and logo. The counter cards (Google Review, Menu, Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp) are ready-made designs. For custom-branded versions of those, please call or email me to discuss the options.
